About the Book
In the zoo there are all kinds of animal families. But Tango's family is not like any of the others. And Tango Makes Three is based on the true story of two male penguins who became partners and raised a baby penguin together in New York's Central Park Zoo.

About the Authors
Justin Richardson, right, and Peter Parnell are the authors of Christian the Hugging Lion, as well as the the award winning picture book And Tango Makes Three. Richardson is a psychiatrist on the faculty of Columbia and Cornell. Parnell is a playwright whose plays have been produced on and off Broadway. The couple lives in New York City with their daughter, Gemma.
